FTP Analysis

DINO provides, free of charge, an online, interactive analysis of sample SMF and/or distributed systems FTP usage data from your data center. With this analysis, you will see for yourself whether your FTP usage is compliant and properly managed. For z/OS users, we provide a Wizard to make gathering the SMF sample and getting it to DINO Software a quick and simple matter.

    • Consolidates all History File write I/O to single address space, thereby eliminating file sharing issues

  • Support for Dovetailed Software's Co:Z SFTP Server

    • Monitor Co:Z SFTP server usage real-time just as they do with the z/OS FTP server
    • Police usage of the Co:Z SFTP server with same SAF rules as used with their z/OS FTP server



Co:Z SFTP is a z/OS-based secure FTP server alternative to IBM's Ported Tools SFTP server. Co:Z SFTP supports direct read/write access to MVS datasets where IBM's ported solution only supports HFS files. Co:Z SFTP writes SMF records to log activity and interfaces with user exits which are plug-compatible with the user exits in the IBM z/OS FTP server.
