
Services personnel will review the current catalog configuration. Focus will be on the structural integrity of the BCS and VVDS VSAM objects and the logical pointer relationships between the BCS, VVDS and VTOC. Error conditions will be identified along with appropriate repair actions. Given the variances in size and complexity of differing catalog configurations, the clean up process could cover extended timelines. Services personnel can work as dedicated project or in conjunction with customer staff to accomplish all needed tasks.
