T-REX Catalog Standardization

Services personnel will review the current catalog configuration. Focus will be on the catalog configuration. This would include:

  • Catalog names
  • Catalog sizes
  • Catalog placement
  • VSAM allocation parameters (imbed, replicate, buffer space, etc.)
  • # of aliases in each catalog
  • # of associated data set entries in each catalog
  • Identifying unused aliases and GDG bases
  • Catalog merge/split requirements

Given the variances in size and complexity of differing catalog configurations, the standardization process could cover extended timelines. Services personnel, along with your staff, are available as project resources to accomplish all needed tasks.
